CCSP Vision and Goals

By Pastor Chik Chikeles June of 1992

The Lord, I believe, has called Kimberly and I to Minnesota for the establishment of a Calvary Chapel Fellowship. With that calling He has given me specifically three verses to live by. They are:

“It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.” (Ephesians 4:11-13)

“For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.” (2 Timothy 1:6-7)

“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. The hired hand is not the shepherd who owns the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it. The man runs away because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep.” (John 10:11-13)

What the LORD has shown me is that I am to help those He directs my way to do the works He has for them. I am to be a big fan that blows on the coals of their spirits, to help them stay hot for the kingdom of God. Furthermore, I am a Pastor
that is to love and care for the body of Christ just as Jesus has shown me in the Scriptures He has given me. I am under orders from on high to lay down my life spiritually and physically for those God loves. All this I do willingly, because I am a sinner saved by grace, and loved by God, too.

  1. Teach the Word.
  2. Disciple believers: Healthy sheep reproduce healthy sheep.
  3. Minister in grace, love, and balance of the gifts of God, and teach how to be a Christian in everyday life.
  4. Man’s sinful nature is the cause of the ills in this world. Therefore, deal with the sinful nature, not a social gospel for social issues.
  5. To be a community of believers living for God by His standards, therefore being witnesses to our community. Acts 2:42-47 is our best example of this vision goal.
  6. Reach out to all, no one will be unloved.
  7. Support missionary endeavors by raising up our own and supporting works in progress.

  8. Church planting ministry.

  9. School of ministry and evangelism.

  10. Assist home schooling.

  11. Homes for unwed pregnant mothers. Also have an adoption ministry.

  12. Men/Women/Youth homes.

  13. Silver saints senior citizen ministry.

  14. Men’s/Women’s ministry.

  15. Youth Ministry.

  16. College and career outreach.

  17. Continual evangelistic endeavors, i.e. Concerts, Street-reaches, Kid’s clubs, etc.

  18. Counseling ministry.

  19. Marriage and family studies, retreats, and assistance.

  20. Helps ministry. i.e. Food bank, clothing, meals, shelter, etc.

  21. Debt free as a church.

Future Ministry Vision And Goals

More ministries will be added as the church grows and the ones listed will be expanded by the ones God gives the desire to lead them. I believe God will accomplish His will with or without me; however, I am pleased that He has given me the privilege to serve Him and this body of believers. May God totally blessour socks off in the adventure to come. Let’s all enjoy this ride together with thanksgiving in our hearts to God, and love for one another.
